Hear About The Milli
March 2016 and we've won again! The Milli were once again victorious, winning the smallest trophy in the world at The South Cumbria Music Festival at our first attempt!
Earlier in the week Tracie Bowness entered five different singing classes and won all five. We're such a talented group!

We won! Congratulations to everybody at The Milli for their outstanding success in winning the Youth Choir competition at The Mary Wakefield Festival in March 2015. This was our first attempt at competing and we are naturally very proud of ourselves!
We're in the news again! Congratulations to our own Faye Bowness who has just won the Furness Charity Stars Night at Lancaster's Grand Theatre. For a video of her performance and to see the write-up from the Lancaster Guardian click here.
We're in the news! The appointment of Tracie Penwarden to the musical team led to a half page article in the Westmorland Gazette. See the story here.
Lauren Storer is more used to being in the news for her stunning performances in the West End but the once long-standing member of The Milli and erstwhile accompanist has once more hit the headlines for a different reason; she has donated a kidney to a stranger she will never knowingly meet! We expect a certain level of goodwill to all mankind from our members but this is surely above and beyond! We are all extremely proud of her. Full story here.
For the first time in the choir's history we have decided to enter a choral class at the Mary Wakefield Westmorland Music Festival in March 2015. Members of the choir have taken part in the solo classes in the past and we have had our fair share of winners and this tradition looks set to continue with more Milli singers taking part. Winners (for there will be no losers!) will be posted here!
